What Is Restylane^®?

 Restylane^® is formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA). This clear gel mimics your body’s naturally produced HA.

Restylane^® works by restoring volume in your skin to correct moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds. It’s particularly helpful in softening the folds and creases that form from the corners of the mouth downward (sometimes creating an unintentional frown). Restylane^® can shorten the long, nasolabial folds (lines running from your nose towards the corner of your mouth) and plump up lips that often shrink with age. All Restylane^® products are FDA-approved.

Dr. Chatham will assist you in selecting the best Restylane^® product that will produce optimal results. Facial filler injectables are quick, with minimal discomfort  and the results can be long-lasting. While lip injections can be more sensitive, most injections take only seconds. Duration is ‘site specific’: for example, high cheek areas move less than areas such as lips and mouth. Less movement generally results in longer duration. Most of our patients have their fillers repeated or ‘tweaked’ about twice a year or in anticipation of an important upcoming social event.
