COVID-19 Virus Practice Update

My June “fireside chat” on Covid-19 (7 min.)

For our patients: my perspective on Covid, reality, & our practice.

To our patients,

These are trying times for us all. We are taking this day by day as the saga of the COVID-19 virus develops. For now, we are maintaining very limited hours & adjusted schedules. For patients in need of replenishing their skin care products we can ship them to you.
Either call us at 812-945-3223 or request via email janetwchatham@yahoo.com.

Sometimes when so much is out of our control, doing something nice for oneself can be empowering. As a physician, I want each of our patients to continue to maintain the health and appearance of their face. Small things (non-surgical) can make a big difference in our confidence and attitude especially during these difficult days.

In the meantime, let me share some reassuring words on Mother Nature from Wendell Berry, poet extraordinaire & Kentucky farmer.

The Peace of Wild Things
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Thank you for being one of our special patients. And try a little Mother Nature now that spring is near.
