Improving
Facial Skin
(using
lasers and peels)
Goal: to improve the
texture and color of facial skin with precise laser and peeling
techniques
The wonderful smooth flawless skin of youth is gradually replaced with
an aging skin complete with dull appearance, rough texture, wrinkles and,
sometimes, unwanted vessels and growths.
"Resurfacing" of facial skin can be performed so as to
improve the color, texture, brightness and overall health and
appearance. Chemical peels use solutions based on natural components to
cause the outer abnormal layers of cells to separate (peel) off, allowing
new healthier cells to replace the old ones. This results in smoother and
pinker skin. Sometimes lasers can be used to achieve the same effect.
Also, lasers (specially focused beams of light of a certain frequency
which interact with skin in a special way) are frequently used to shrink
small, unsightly red vessels ("broken blood vessels" and
birthmarks ) for an immediate improvement in the appearance of the skin.
Some lasers can also be used for hair removal.
